Welcome Back Reunion Charlie Battery

Yankton's Charlie Battery returned from a 15 month deployment from Iraq 10 years ago this month.  The businesses and local communities welcomed the Soldiers home with a parade (32,000 people in attendance) and a packed Summit Activities center welcome home ceremony.  Those Soldiers will be in town September 16-18 for their 10 year reunion.  They will be staying  at  local motels.  Some of the activities they will be doing will be a memorial ride to Alexandria (to visit SSG Gregory Wagner's gravesite) and then back to Garden of Memories to visit SFC Richard Schild, SSG Dan Cuka and SGT Allen Kokesh's grave sites.   They will have a meal with activities throughout the day.  Sunday AM they will end with a church service at the lake.

Show your continued support by lighting up your marquees with "Welcome Back Charlie Battery"!

A goal of $5,000 is set to cover the costs and any extra funds would go to help families who have lost a soldier. If you would like to make a donation to help defray the cost of the "Welcome Back Reunion" they can be made at First Dakota National Bank or the Yankton Chamber of Commerce.

Charlie Battery  appreciates all of the support that they received from the Yankton Businesses during the deployment and when they came home.

Thank You.
