CSM PARENTS!!

Happy month of September. We hope and pray this finds you well as school, sports and activities are in full swing. We know that life gets pretty crazy at this time of year and there are millions of things crying out for your attention. In this moment, we encourage you to take a moment to stop, breathe and reflect. Reflect on how good our God is. So often in this season we can lose sight of God in the midst of the running around. So as we start this new school year, lets make a point to stop and reflect on God through it all no matter how crazy and busy it gets.

In this issue you will read the Parent Meeting Recap, September Teaching Schedule, Photo Scavenger Hunt, Two Services, Looking Ahead C lick on any of those to skip ahead to that piece of information and enjoy reading!

ParenteMeetingRecap
PARENT MEETING RECAP
I want to thank all of you that came out to our parent meeting in August! It was wonderful to hear from the students about how God was at work in their lives throughout the summer. It was also wonderful to hear from you about how we can connect with one another better. If you weren't available to be at the meeting you can find the notes below. I know that God has some big plans for us this year and I am excited to see them come to fruition. I look forward to seeing how He will move in your life and the lives of your children.

TeachingSchedule
SEPTEMBER TEACHING SCHEDULE
During the month of September we will begin a new series called "Three in One". During this series we will study each person of the Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. As we study the Trinity we often see them as three distinct deities that we worship. Scripture on the other hand is very specific in describing that our God is one. In Deuteronomy 6:4, God says to Israel, "Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one". At the same time we see the distinctiveness of God as early as in Genesis 1:26, "Then God said, 'Let US make man in OUR image, after our likeness'...". While the truths of scripture can be difficult to understand, we can agree that our God is one and yet distinct. We hope this series will help our students better understand who God is, what He is doing in the world, and what He is doing in our lives. Below is our teaching schedule.

4 - God the Father: Creator and Mover/Initiator

ScavengerHunt
PHOTO SCAVENGER HUNT | INVITE NIGHT
On September 28 we will have our first invite night of the school year, our Photo Scavenger Hunt! At the photo scavenger hunt we will jump into vans with leaders and parents in search of various clues in South County. The team that finds the most clues wins! We encourage students to INVITE their non-churched friends to this event since it is casual and an easy ask. We will also take a moment to share the Gospel with the students that evening when we get back. The event will run from 6-8:30pm. Be sure to note that it's 30 mins before and 30 mins after our regular schedule time.

TwoServices
TWO SERVICES
On October 16th, Concord Church will be making the shift to two services. We will have services at 9:00am and 10:45am which will be identical. For student ministry we will meet at 10:45am for small groups. The extra time on Sunday morning will be a big help in allowing our students to interact and respond to God's Word. We hope that you and your family will find the two services helpful in connecting, growing and serving at Concord Church!

CLOSING
Well that is all that we have for this month. Thank you for entrusting us with your children. We are so thankful to serve and minister to them week in and week out. We pray that you will continue to make time as a family to study God's Word and grow together. If there is anything we can do please don't hesitate to email Ben at the information provided below. Thank you again for your encouragement and support, we pray "may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace, comfort your hearts and establish them in every good work and word."

For His Glory,
