| Volunteer Screening Process |
| We still anticipate that the online process for screening volunteers will be available by the end of next week. If you anticipate driving for a field trip in the next week or two, it's advised to fill out the paper packet from the office if you have not already done so. Otherwise waiting for the online process to be completed is fine. One item to note is that if you will be driving for a field trip, we need a copy of your drivers license as well as a copy of your declaration page showing your vehicle insurance limits (not just the insurance card as in previous years.) If you have questions, contact the office. |

 Looking to show some school spirit? Heritage apparel and merchandise is available to purchase through Heritage H.A.N.D.S. A portion of the proceeds benefits H.A.N.D.S. and the various projects they do to support the school. If you are interested in purchasing items, more information and an order form can be found on the website or by clicking here. If you'd like to see samples of items, there is a small inventory in the office! |
 Please read the informational letter found in your Friday folder today (youngest student of the family only), regarding our desire as a school to "Pray for the Nations" throughout this year. There is also a World Prayer Map to use as a guide to help you as you pray for the nations. EACH student will also be getting their very own picture of Anani, our Compassion International child that we sponsor as a school. Check your weekly newsletters for updated information on what country we are praying for as a school. | The Heritage School Board meets twice each month on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month. Minutes from those meetings are posted to the website. |
The 5th/6th volleyball team played their first match of the season against Cedar Valley on Tuesday. The Eagles lost in 2 sets, 18-25 and 9-25. The girls served well and were successful on getting some passes to the setter for a hit. They kept their heads up despite some strong serving by Cedar Valley in the second set.
On Thursday, the Eagles 7/8th Volleyball team faced Pathway Christian in their first home game of the season. The Eagles won the first set 25-13. The second set came down to the wire when the score was tied 24-24, but the Eagles were able to score 26 points to win by two. In the third set of the night Whitney Traetow was able to serve nine times leading the Eagles to victory with a score of 25-8. Way to go Eagles!

If your student is interested in running, then it is time to start thinking about cross country. The Trinity Cross Country Invitational will be held on Monday, September 26th. No other athletic events will be held on that day. The 5/6th course will be one mile and the 7/8th course will be 2 miles. If you would like your 5-8th grade student to participate in the cross country meet, please e-mail Mrs. Snell at [email protected] by Friday, September 16th.
5/6th Girls Basketball Head Coach and Assistant Coach Needed - The responsibilities for these positions include: providing supervision at all practices and games, teaching sports skills and games strategies, maintaining game stats, and upholding all policies in the HCS Parent/Student Handbook and Athletic Policy. In addition, all candidates must demonstrate a personal relationship with Christ and be in agreement with the HCS Statement of Faith.
