UPCOMING SILVER CEREMONY

We are having a Silver Ceremony on Thursday evening, November 24th.  Those who wish to be included in this ceremony you will need to have your Silver Award submitted by Tuesday, October 12th.  Give us a call at 204-988-3016, or email [email protected] if you need assistance or have questions.

In August, we had 97 youth attend our National Leadership Forum LEAD 2016.  This was an amazing experience for the participants and the LEAD staff that volunteered their time.
Here are just a few comments that were made about the LEAD experience:
"LEAD 2016 was an event that I don't think anybody will ever forget we did not just become friends we became a family. I hope that we'll all stay in touch, I'll never forget the people I met at LEAD, they've changed my life for the better. I can't express how grateful I am."

"When I came back to school on Thursday, I was just thinking about LEAD and how everyone was so kind. So, instead of just hanging out with my friends, I decided to talk to every person who looked new and ask them how their day went or what I could do to help. I was surprised to find that everyone was happy to talk to someone and it made them smile! So, I just want to say thank you to all of you guys for being those welcoming people who made my day better and helped me grow."

"This week has been so amazing.  Each of you is an amazingly caring, kind, smart, passionate, motivated and just generally awesome individual, yet at the same time, all so different.  I am so blessed to have spent time getting to know you.  I know that together, we can make so much positive change in our communities and our country.  Thank you all for making this week so amazing, I will never forget it."

"Lead could have never been as good as it was without all the amazing people in it. It will be hard to forget a summer like this :). I'm back in Whitehorse but I've never felt so far away from home."

"Honestly you do not understand how much this small thing changed my life. It made me feel love and gave me confidence I did not have before. Thank you all. Small things make such a big difference"

" Thank you for stepping out of your comfort zone to attend this camp, and for bringing your gigantic smiles and endlessly positive attitudes. Thanks for being fearless, trying new things, and for embracing the bruises and cuts that came with those new experiences (skateboarding...) for energy that led to countless mealtime musical perform/bumpin dance parties/non-stop piano. Lastly, thanks for sharing your stories, your struggles, and your support with this special group of 97 Duke youth."
