Beware: Jury Duty Scam

The Montgomery County Sheriff's office is warning residents of a recurring scam in which callers, claiming to be a "Lt. Frank Rodgers with the sheriff's office," are trying to bilk Montgomery County residents out of money, saying they have missed jury duty, and are the subject of an arrest warrant. The caller leaves a call back number of 240-338-9364 and asks for money to make the warrant go away. The County Sheriff warns residents not to call this number back; this individual is not with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department and law enforcement officers will never ask for money, bank information, or pre-paid cards.
