Days of Prayer
   Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans has expanded its Head Start program by opening a new site for Early Head Start children age six months to 3 years old at Covenant House. Another Early Head Start and regular Head Start (for children ages 4-5) will soon be opened at St. Paul the Apostle in New Orleans East. 

   A  workshop sponsored by the Office of Religious Education, the Archdiocese of New Orleans and Notre Dame Seminary led a discussion of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops' "Forming Consciences for Faithful Citizenship: A Call to Political Responsibility." 

   Former New Orleans Auxiliary Bishop Shelton Fabre, now the bishop of Houma-Thibodaux, was appointed to the USCCB's Task Force to Promote Peace in Our Communities. Days of Prayer for Peace were held throughout the country surrounding Sept. 9. 

   Part II of the USCCB's document on Faithful Citizenship is released.

   German writer Peter Seewald just released a new book, "Pope Benedict XVI Last Testament" on Pope Benedict and his time as pope. The English version of the book will be released in November.

 

   Ron Brocato gives us a tour through the annals of high school footballlisting the schools who scored the most points or allowed the fewest points, had the most yards, had the most field goals, most blocked kick and more in a game
