The "ColoradoCare" universal healthcare proposal on the November ballot could have a significant impact on dentistry and dental practices. At its Sept. 17 Board of Trustees meeting, CDA leadership will hear presentations from proponents and opponents of this proposed Colorado constitutional amendment and discuss whether to formally support or oppose the measure.

The U.S. Department of Labor published a new
rule that changes the salary and compensation levels needed for executive, administrative and professional staff to be considered exempt from overtime pay. The rule, which goes into effect Dec. 1, 2016, carries steep penalties for those who don't comply. Is your practice affected?

The ADA has a new, free service to help dentists with their professional credentialing. The ADA Credentialing Service allows dentists to input, store and update their professional credentials in a centralized location. After information is entered, it then will be available to third-party payers, hospitals and employers.

Colorado Dental Political Action Committee (CODPAC) board of directors will hold its 2016 Annual Meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 16 at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at the CDA Headquarters, 8301 E.
