RPA Presidents' Message
Happy Thursday Everyone!

We hope your family is settling back into school life as we know it can be hard to break out of summer-mode.

September is a busy month with lots of  fun events planned.

We have the two back to School Nights- Elementary Families tonight and Middle School Families September 15th

Be sure to mark your calendars for what is shaping up to be a truly epic event on September 24th.  The RPA Fall Fiesta
Come kick back, eat some yummy tacos (Taco truck on-site), listen to live Latin music, drink margaritas, and learn to dance the Samba (no pressure).

Lastly, thank you for stepping up to volunteer! It says a great deal about our community when the vast majority of needed volunteer positions have almost been accounted for.  Please see down below for the last jobs to be filled.  See you tonight!

Cheers,

Mark Headley

A round Campus

Students are loving the new Raskob Library!

One parent reports,  "He's super excited to go to the  library.  He has several lists of books he's interested in checking out."

Another parent exclaimed,  "She went right home and got her library book to read. It was so wonderful to see!"

See's Candies 1 or 2 Volunteers: I f you're an organizer, this job is for you!  It's easy: get the candy order forms to the kids, collect forms/money, order candies, organize orders and distribute to kids/families at drop-off after school - DONE! Fulfills your 20 Family Hours. Not hard to do; it just takes someone with good organizational skills. Hey, maybe you could find a partner to co-share the job?! We'll gladly count 20 Family Hours for you both!

Teacher Appreciation Co-Chairs Elementary (1) and Middle School (2):
If you can type an email, you can do this job!
We're looking for 3 more parents - 1 from elementary and 2 from middle school classes - to help coordinate all parent volunteers signed-up to help with various activities. Parent volunteers are ready to implement the four Teacher Breakfast dates throughout the school year, Teacher Appreciation Week which includes the Teacher Appreciation Luncheon in May, and End-of-Year teacher/staff gifts. The Four Co-Chairs will team together to make these special events happen.  You'll not only serve with the list of confirmed parent volunteers, but Room Parent leaders too - it's a team effort with this job!  Of course, your 20 Family Hours are fulfilled.
