FACILITIES MASTER PLAN (FMP)

District staff, parents, Trustees, community leaders, and even students have worked together with LPA Architects, Inc. to create a detailed Facilities Master Plan (FMP).  The District's newly developed FMP identifies a vision for the next 10 to 15 years and provides a road map to coordinate short and long-range goals for our school buildings.

Welcome to a new year in Fountain Valley School District!

We appreciate the hard work and dedication of our teachers, support staff, administrators, PT Groups, Fountain Valley Schools Foundation, families and community members who strive to IMPACT the lives of children!  We also appreciate the visionary leadership of the Board of Education, Jeanne Galindo, Sandra Crandall, Lisa Schultz, Ian Collins and Jim Cunneen, who continue to make FVSD such a special place to be!

Over the summer months, we have been busy getting schools ready for students.  And, we hosted numerous math trainings for teachers who serve all of our students, Pre-K through eighth grade.  In addition, we rolled out another 300 student devices and now have over 3,500 devices being used daily in our schools.  We are thrilled that our students, will be IMPACTED by our excellent teachers who continue to use technology in new and innovative ways!

Furthermore, on August 11th, the FVSD Board of Trustees adopted a resolution calling for a General Obligation Bond - Measure O - to be placed on the November 8th ballot.  If passed, these funds will be used to upgrade infrastructure and install air conditioning in FVSD classrooms.  More information regarding the District's facility needs can be found on the District's website at fvsd.us.

And, as always, t hank you for all that you do to support teaching and learning in our District.  Here's to a spectacular 2016-17 school year!

Kindly,

Mark Johnson, Ed.D.
Superintendent
