Recognize Someone Today with DPS Honors! Recognition Tools
In order to build strong teams across DPS, we know how important it is to make sure teammates know they are valued and appreciated. One way we encourage recognition at DPS is by using our Shared Core Values as a foundation. No matter our role, these values -- Students First, Integrity, Equity, Collaboration, Accountability and Fun -- guide our decisions and behaviors and create trust in who we are as a team. Celebrating others for living these values reminds us of their power and helps us work together to reach our vision that Every Child Succeeds.

To support recognition across our teams, DPS has created the DPS Honors! recognition program -- tools and opportunities created for every member of Team DPS to use to recognize and celebrate each other for values-based work. The Shared Core Values pins, notecards, Wall of Fame board, anniversary pin program, and Living Our DPS and other awards are all part of this program. Learn more about all of these opportunities.

Is your school already using these recognition tools? Share your celebrations by nominating a colleague for Living Our DPS or showcasing your school for Values Going Viral. If not, learn more about the opportunities and discuss with your school leaders the best way to begin implementing them.

If you have questions or would like to discuss strategies for recognition, please email Our_DPSValues@dpsk12.org.
