Centennial Flashback
|
At the August 26, 1985 board meeting, new member Jerome Kalinoski of Light Impressions, was welcomed into the board meeting to familiarize himself with Chamber operations.
Now, 31 years later, Jerry Kalinoski is still supporting the Chamber and provided the photo that graces the cover of our centennial game, Lebanopoly. This photo, pictured below, is of the 9th and 10th Street bridges at night.

From the Lebanon Valley Workforce Alliance:
Lebanon Valley College's Path to Project Success
|
|
According to the Project Management Institute Talent and Skills Gap report, between 2010 and 2020, 15.7 million new project management roles will be created globally across seven project-intensive industries. Along with job growth, there will be a significant increase in the economic footprint of the profession; the project management profession is slated to grow by $6.61 trillion dollars. This enormous anticipated growth, along with higher-than-average salaries, will make the next few years an opportune time for professionals and job-seekers to build project management skills.
However, despite this increased need, not all organizations are currently performing equally when it comes to effective project management.
High-performing organizations complete 80 percent or more of projects on time and on budget, while meeting original goals.
Low-performing organizations complete 36 percent or fewer of projects on time and on budget, while meeting original goals.
To alleviate this skills gap, Lebanon Valley College's Office of Professional Studies offers a new program that integrates project management and business analysis essentials into one comprehensive course-Path to Project Success. Starting this fall, you can advance your project management skills, completing an actual project that can make an immediate impact on your ROI. You'll also earn a valuable credential from a nationally-recognize institution and required certification (or re-certification) hours for the Project Management Institute exam.
In the meantime, Chamber members are invited to view a webinar related to this topic, compliments of LVC. If you missed it, you can view the "Building Consensus" webinar recording here.
Visit
www.lvc.edu/pathtoproject success to learn more about LVC's 11-week, 100% online, Path to Project Success Program. The next cohort begins Oct. 3, so we encourage you to apply early to reserve your spot. You are eligible for a 10% Preferred Partner Tuition Discount as a member of the Lebanon Chamber of Commerce.
