Please join us for our first PTO Meeting on Monday, September 12 from 9:20-10:20.

Families that have students in Grades 1, 3, and 5 are invited to join us on Curriculum Night on Thursday, September 15 to learn more about the upcoming school year.  Teachers will be here to review programming, routines, and answer questions about their cluster.

If you are new to Clover Ridge and have students in grades 2 or 4, please contact the teacher to answer specific questions that you may have.

Fall Pictures will be held on Friday, September 16.
Clover Ridge Running Club
This fall we will be starting a new CRE Running Club for students! Chaska Elementary has had a very successful program like this that we are modeling ours after.

It will be a fun place for students grades 1-5 to walk, run and socialize after school.  All ability levels are welcome!  Participants will receive a snack each day and CRE Running Club t-shirt.  If you are interested in coming out one or all of the sessions to walk, run or just cheer on the kids we would love to have you join us!  Dates and times are listed below.  If one of your students brings a registration form to school you can either give them to Andrew Lesch ~ Club Care Supervisor, or leave them in the office with Karen.
Thank you very much!

Fundraising Opportunity
On Friday, representatives from Cherrydale will be here to inform your child about our PTO Sponsored Fundraising Opportunity.  Monday raised goes directly back to our students and benefits our building. Participation is completely optional and we would ask that students focus on selling only to family members, trusted neighbors and friends.

Cherrydale purchased Chip Shoppe (our previous fundraising company) recently. More information, including product preview, is available at www.cherrydale.com.
Talking to Children
Given the recent news, below is an article from the Gundersen National Child Protection Center on tips for talking to children about the topic and keeping them safe.  We hope you find the article useful.  READ ARTICLE.
Birthday Treats
As part of a district-wide initiative to discourage the use of food as a reward, teachers and parents are strongly encouraged to recognize and celebrate students by methods that do not involve food. Before sending a birthday treat, please check with your homeroom teacher to see if there are food allergies in your student's classroom. Clover Ridge strongly encourages a nonfood item such as pencils, stickers, and tattoos, or perhaps invite a special visitor to read to the student s and donate a book to the classroom, ask classmates to sign the student's favorite ball, or a craft project are other ways to celebrate your child's birthday in a classroom.

More information can be found in the Student Handbook on page 7.

School Supplies
Several years ago, our district asked that we remove general supplies from each student's supply list.  Unfortunately, this has created a need for additional supplies.  These are supplies that teachers use throughout the year.  Please consider sending some of the following supplies to your child's homeroom teacher: tissues, Clorox Wipes, paper plates, Zip Lock Bags (gallon/quart/sandwich), plastic utensils, and paper towels.  Your participation is completely optional.  Thanks for your consideration and generosity.

Food Service
Here is a link to 112 Nutrition, our Food Service Department, providing information including lunch menus, and links to Educational Assistance Applications (Free and Reduced Lunch).  Paper copies are available in the office.  Families enrolled in this program need to reapply annually.

More information regarding meal prices and programming can be found here.

Student Directory
We are pleased to announce that this coming year the entire directory process will be paperless from data collection to making the directory available both on your computer as well as your smart phone.
Why are we doing this?
  • Saves time - this new system will help us publish the directory right when school starts AND we can keep it up to date throughout the school year.
  • Saves money - no more printing costs (they keep going up!)
  • Reduces errors - because you enter your information yourself, you can be guaranteed that it's what you want.
How does it work?
Our new system will involve 2 steps:  collecting your information online and then giving you secure access to the online system.  To enter your information please go to the link below and follow the instructions.
Just Log in at:   www.join.myschoolanywhere.com

Enter Code:  CREPTO
How do you access the new online directory?
Once we have received and reviewed your family's information you will receive an email with login instructions.  Our plan is to go live the first week of school so please confirm your data!
What's so great about the online directory?
  • It's secure - your family will have a unique login and password and the directory can't be lost or stolen.
  • You can search by student's first name, grade, teacher and family last name.
  • You can create your own custom list of frequently called families.
  • You can access the family directory from any internet connected device:  your computer, smart phone, iPad, etc.

Is it secure?
YES!  All data is stored behind secure firewalls and can only be accessed by authorized users with a validated username and encrypted password.  All data is viewed and passed using SSL encryption.
