Walk! Ride! Play! Third Annual ABQ
CiQlovía Returns on October 15th

The ABQ CiQlov ía returns to Albuquerque for the third run of this fun event on Saturday, October 15, from 9am-2pm. This year's route will be along Central Avenue between 2nd  and 8th Streets.

If you haven't experienced the ABQ CiQlov í a, here's what it's all about: it is an "open streets" event where the road is temporarily closed to vehicle traffic and opened up to people on foot and bike, allowing people to experience our largest public spaces--streets--in an entirely new way. The event encourages people of all ages to celebrate or try out active forms of transportation in a fun and safe (and social!) environment.

The event coincides with the Downtown Growers Market and will feature brunch served on the Roving Table, the Duke City Pedaler, Complete Streets demonstration projects, live music, root beer, a bike rodeo, arts and culture. CiQlov í a is an opportunity to stimulate a community conversation about bicycle, pedestrian, and public health issues, the local economy, and encouraging active lifestyles.

There are volunteer and sponsorship/donation opportunities available. If you are interested, contact [email protected]. For more information on the event, check out   www.facebook.com/abqciqlovia and www.abqciqlovia.org.
