We need additional helpers to pack and move boxes at our next Manna Pantry September 16-17. Food is ordered from Golden Harvest Food Bank and is delivered to Saint Paul's on Friday evening. Manna Pantry volunteers unload the truck, organize the food, and assemble boxes for recipients Friday evening from 3-5 PM. Recipients are registered and served on Saturday morning from 9:30 AM - 12 noon. Volunteers also help carry boxes to the cars. Families with children and youth are welcome to join parishioners of all ages serving this ministry. For more information or to volunteer, contact Anita Tanner .

Ironman Weekend September 24-25
Ironman Weekend is just over a week away!

We are looking forward to sharing a fun-filled weekend with over 3,000 athletes and their families and friends as they come to downtown Augusta to participate in the world's largest Half Ironman.

We will open our River Room doors at 5 AM on Sunday, September 25th and invite athletes for coffee, water, and refreshments. Athletes will also be invited to go to the sanctuary for prayer if they need a quiet space before their race. The church will be open throughout the morning. We invite you to join us and show our guests our wonderful Saint Paul's hospitality. You can do that with a friendly welcome, by guiding them to the rest rooms, or by sitting and enjoying coffee and conversation.

After the 11 AM service, please join us by the church gates for Lemonade in the Lawn. We will fellowship and cheer on the runners as they pass the church. Keith Shafer and Cobbs Nixon have planned special music on the church bells to encourage and inspire the runners.

The Ironman event is not only a physical endeavor but also a test of the mind and spirit. It is a gift that we are able to reach out and show the love of God to all of those visiting out neighborhood home. We can't wait to see you next weekend!

In Christ,
Kim Butler and Terry Johnson

Saint Paul's youth will enjoy a one night lock-in from  3:30 PM Saturday, September 24th until 2 PM Sunday, September 25th. The youth will support Saint Paul's efforts in showing hospitality to individuals here for the Ironman and will engage in discussions on the connection between physical health and spiritual health. Activities include service to Ironman participants on the evening of September 24th, poster making to encourage Ironman participants, and thought-provoking sensory experiences to highlight the connection between the physical and the spiritual that we sometimes take for granted in a world of sensory overload! There are also other opportunities to support the Ironman participants depending on interest, including being present for the Ironman Swim Gear Drop! Please join us for fun and outreach to our community! If you would like more information or would like to sign-up for the lock-in contact Ranie.
