Wolfpen-Pleasant Hill Road Closure Scheduled to Begin
Monday, September 12
YEAR-LONG CLOSURE ON WOLFPEN-PLEASANT HILL ROAD NEEDED TO IMPROVE ALIGNMENT ON CRITICAL
NORTH-SOUTH COUNTY ARTERY

Summer may be coming to end, but our work to improve safety and ease congestion throughout our area continues.

Work to complete major safety improvements will require a full closure on Wolfpen-Pleasant Hill Road that will begin approximately 500-feet north of Raintree Drive and continue for approximately one-half mile south.

The road will be closed to through traffic from Monday, September 12, 2016, through Friday, September 1, 2017. A detour using SR 131 and US 50 will be put into place and marked with signage. Click on the map below to see the detour.

About the Wolfpen-Pleasant Hill Safety Improvements:
As the project names suggests, the Wolfpen-Pleasant Hill Safety Improvements are a series of improvements that will enhance safety along Wolfpen-Pleasant Hill Road. The existing roadway will be realigned, several new retaining walls will be constructed, and drainage improvements will be made to reduce water build-up and the related icing issues that have occurred during winter months.

This project will significantly improve safety for motorists who drive along this section of Wolfpen-Pleasant Hill Road. The deterioration of the retaining walls, steep slopes, periodic icy road conditions and sharp curves will all be addressed in order to make the road safer for all who travel through this area.
