There are many ways your organization can participate and make a difference in the life of a child.  RSVP by September 13 to 817-215-0171 or [email protected].  Space is limited.

Galderma Donates Supplies for 1,250 Students to NISD
Employees of Galderma, a Nestle skincare company based in Fort Worth, donated enough school supplies to ensure 1,250 NISD children in need were prepared for this school year. The backpacks filled with supplies were distributed at the Northwest Back to School Fair.

"Having a company such as Galderma in our boundaries is such a blessing, because they understand what's really important: ensuring all students are prepared for success," Northwest ISD Superintendent Dr. Ryder Warren said. "We're looking forward to partnering with Galderma and all the great companies and organizations around us.  With strong community support, we can live up to our mission of providing all students with a premier education and getting them ready for the futures."

Three Northwest ISD elementary schools will be among 10 schools competing in Texas Motor Speedway's Speeding to Read educational program for the 2016-2017 school year.

Cox, Hatfield and Justin elementary schools will compete with schools in Dallas, Denton, Fort Worth, Lewisville and Little Elm independent school districts.

More than 5,000 kindergarten through fifth-grade students will take part in the nine-month reading competition.

Northwest ISD Back to School Fair Helps More Than 900 Students in Need
More than 900 NISD students in need received free backpacks and school supplies at or on the days leading up to the Northwest Back to School Fair last month, the largest output the 4-year-old event has ever seen.

In addition to supplies, 46 students received haircuts, 46 students received immunizations and 24 students received sports physicals.  The haircuts were provided by students from the Academy of Cosmetology at Steele Accelerated High School, known as Shears of Steele.
