Did You Know?
Congrats to Dr. Gary R. Cutter, professor of Biostatistics, UAB SOPH, and director of the international multicenter randomized thymectomy trial in non-thymomatous myasthenia gravis patients. His Data Coordinating Center managed and analyzed all of the data from the three-year trial, which found thymectomy plus alternate-day prednisone improved outcomes compared to prednisone alone, as described in a recent New England Journal of Medicine article.

NCATS Announces Funding for Repurposing Therapeutics
This new UH2/UH3 award is to support pre-clinical studies to repurpose existing drugs or biologics that have already begun or completed a Phase I trial.
