Permisision to Leave School
As stated in the Student Agenda/Handbook, permission to leave school before the end of the day must be obtained from the Attendance Office prior to the start of homeroom.

For every appointment, the request must be in writing from the parent/guardian (signature required, email cannot be accepted) and confirmed with a telephone call from the parent/guardian.  This policy also applies to students driving themselves to appointments. T here is less disruption to the academic day if the Attendance Office can provide an exit pass to the student in the morning prior to the beginning of homeroom.

Permission to leave will be granted for serious and important reasons only.  When possible, doctor/dentist appointments should be scheduled outside of school hours.

Parents picking up children must sign students out at the Attendance Office.

A ll students must provide an excuse note once they return from any absence.

A Message from the Athletic Association
Hello All Parents, Students, and Fans,

I hope that you have enjoyed your summer, and welcome back to York Catholic for the 2016-2017 school year.  With the beginning of school, fall athletics are already in full swing.  Our teams return many starters from last year's campaign, but also have a lot of new faces, who plan on helping lead "The Irish" to gold this year.

As is the case with our teams, the York Catholic Athletic Department, and Athletic Association have some new members this year.  As the new Athletic Association President, I would like to congratulate Kevin Bankos for being named the new Athletic Director. I would also like to thank Mr. Luckman for his continued support during this transition.  I would also like to welcome the new members of the Athletic Association Executive Board:  Vince Bulik (Vice President), Steve Lesher (Treasurer), and LeAnn Citrone (Secretary).  We are all excited and grateful for the opportunity to serve the York Catholic athletic community.

I would like to thank all of our volunteers and the outgoing Executive Board for their years of service and dedication to York Catholic's Athletic Program.

As we move forward, the Athletic Association is dedicated to providing the best possible support to ALL of our student athletes.  In the future, you can expect to see: (1) new fundraising strategies, (2) building of a stronger connection between the parents, coaches and the Athletic Association, and (3) a "solution oriented" Athletic Association.

We are excited to have new energy in our Athletic Association and we look forward to the challenge ahead of us in strengthening York Catholic's Athletic Association. If you would like to contribute your time and talents to help support our student athletes, we would love to hear from you! As with sports, this needs to be a team effort.

We wish continued success to all of our athletes this year, and in the future. The members of the Athletic Association Board look forward to meeting you.

GO IRISH,

Mark Andrasi
