VPSO NEWS
A GIFT TO VERITAS

Dear VPA Families,

Each year, according to our by-laws, the VPSO board gifts 85% of its year end revenue to Veritas.  Funded mainly through passive fundraising and our lunch program via your support, the 2015/2016 board was able to gift Veritas $22,000 of its net income.  In addition to this money, for the past two school years, concessions were sold at athletic events, and $5,100 was raised.  This $5,100 was earmarked by the 2015/2016 board to be used towards the purchase of bleachers for the field.  As you may have noticed, we now have bleachers on our field!  The $5,100 from concessions as well as a portion of the $22,000, will be utilized by VPA to pay for the bleachers.  The remaining funds will be used to help purchase computers for the school.  The school has purchased nearly 140 computers this school year for the intention of using them for AZMerit testing, a typing club, and a coding club.  We feel so fortunate to be able to assist VPA with these endeavors!

Thank you for supporting our programs through the VPSO!  We are thrilled to make small improvements for the betterment of our student experiences!

Sincerely,

Your VPSO Board

THANK YOU!
