It is with great excitement that NAMIC announces the winners of the 2016 Excellence in Multicultural Marketing Awards (EMMA). Since its launch in 2006, industry participation in the EMMA competition has grown exponentially year-over-year from garnering 70 submissions for the first annual competition to receiving a record 137 entries in 2016.
The EMMA competition presents the ultimate opportunity for recognizing achievements in multicultural marketing. Read the full press release announcing the 2016 EMMA winners highlighted by:
Comcast garnering 19 wins to lead the Media Content Creators and Distributors Division;
BET Networks topping the Networks and Communications Suppliers Division with 10 wins in five categories, while VH1 garnered five wins and HBO and Univision each earned four;
And in the Other Division, Sobeys, Canada's second largest food retailer, won four awards.

The National Association for Multi-ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC) today announced the winners of its Excellence in Multicultural Marketing Awards (EMMA). Presented in conjunction with the Annual NAMIC Conference, the competition recognizes excellence in marketing efforts designed to attract and retain culturally diverse audiences and customers among African American, Asian, Hispanic, LGBTQ and other market segments. Held as part of the cable industry's Diversity Week, the 30th Annual NAMIC Conference will be held September 20-21, 2016 at the New York Marriott Marquis in Manhattan. Winners of the 2016 EMMA will be honored during a special luncheon ceremony scheduled for Wednesday, September 21 from 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. ET.
