Good Afternoon MCS Families,
In advance of class placement information coming next week, I wanted to send our entire community information on MCS Staff changes that took place this summer. We wish those departing our team well and we look forward to welcoming the new talent joining our team.
Departing our team this summer:
Ann Moe (1st Grade Teacher): Ann resigned and has decided to pursue other interests outside of education.
Alyson Gillette (After School Program): Alyson resigned and has decided to live in Mexico full time.
We would like to thank Ann and Alyson for their service to the families of MCS!

Elementary Instructional Facilitator - Kristina Mazaika
Kristina holds a Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University, a Masters of Arts in Education from UC San Diego University and is a National Board Certified Teacher. Kristina has 15 years of classroom teaching experience, University teaching experience and has spent the last several years guiding product development from the educational perspective at Teacher Created Materials where she served as Editor and Senior Editor.

1st Grade Teacher - Angela Drevlow
Angela holds a Bachelor of Arts from Concordia University, a Masters of Arts in Education from Pepperdine University, National Board Certification and 4 years of teaching experience. Angela substitute taught for MCS last school year and has been planning with the 1st grade team all summer for her previously scheduled maternity leave position for 1st grade teacher Allison Skelly.

First Grade Long Term Substitute - Krystle
Hernandez
(covering for Mrs. Skelly while she's on maternity leave)
Krystle holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Masters in Education from Vanguard University. Last year, Krystle held Kindergarten and 1st grade long term substitute positions in the Newport Mesa School District. Mrs. Skelly will return to the classroom on October 31, 2016.

Kindergarten Aid - AnneMarie Vander Wal
AnneMarie holds both a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Masters of Arts in Education from Pepperdine University and comes to us with teaching experience.
