 YOU ARE WORTH THE EFFORT!!

Providing assistance through the entire Marriage Life Cycle.

I welcome the opportunity to help you work through current issues and to look at your future with a sense of hope and purpose.

Greetings!

Hope this announcement finds you well and that your New Year is off to a great start.

I wanted to take this opportunity to announce that I have been recently trained as a Communications Facilitator assisting in the Collaborative Law divorce process.  For those of you unfamiliar with collaborative law, this is an alternative to traditional divorce proceedings.

While I do work with couples on their marriages and assist them in exploring if it is healthy for them to continue as a couple, I found a gap in my education, with only limited options to suggest should the couple desire a divorce.  I now have the ability to discuss another divorce option that could be more cost effective and timely than traditional court methods and will also give them greater control in the process.

This new training is valuable in two ways.  First I can assist any of my clients who are in need of this service by educating them on the process and referring them to a team of professionals.  Second, I can be hired by individuals outside of my client base to be the Communications Facilitator for their actual divorce case.

With collaborative law each party still retains their own lawyer, who is collaboratively trained, but neutral experts are invited in to the proceedings as well to help the couple decide on parenting plans and the splitting up of assets and responsibilities without having to wait for the court system and their time table.  What I am excited about with collaborative law divorce is that it puts the power of the process into the hands of the couple getting divorced and their lawyers, not the judge who most likely is not familiar with your specific situation.

The two neutral experts invited into the sessions are typically a Mental Health Professional (me) and a Financial Expert; both of whom will be collaboratively trained as well.  The team works with the couple in a structured and efficient manner in order to be sure results are achieved that meet the needs of that couple.

There is so much more to explain regarding this process and I would be happy to discuss those details with you at your convenience.  This process is not for everyone as there are parameters to be met before the process can begin but it is worth understanding the option should you or someone you know be in need of such services.

Please pass this information on to someone who could benefit from its content and keep me in mind, should you know of someone who is contemplating divorce. I am networking with many experienced Collaborative Lawyers in the DFW area who could be of service to you as well.

My January newsletter will be coming out soon.  Have a wonderful start to the New Year.

Sincerely,
