Bradenton Doctor Donates $60,000 to Take Stock

Dr. Mark DiSclafani  & the Take Stock Board

Throughout his life, Dr. Peter DiSclafani was an advocate for education and he wanted to make sure that he left an impactful legacy in support of students in need.  When his son, Dr. Mark DiSclafani, sought advice on his father's estate from Morgan Stanley in Bradenton, he was introduced to Take Stock in Children of Manatee County.

At the end of July 2016, Dr. DiSclafani made a gift of $60,000 to Take Stock Manatee that will forever change the lives of six students in Manatee County.  "We are overwhelmed by the generosity of this gift and grateful to the DiSclafani family for their support of deserving children in Manatee County."

Dill will purchase the six scholarships from the Florida Prepaid Foundation and the student selection process is currently underway.  "The support of the DiSclafani family brings us so much closer to our goal of serving 100 new students each year."
