Busing Message to Parents/Guardians of New Albany Students

The New Albany-Plain Local School District transportation services include school bus service to and from Marburn Academy, St. Paul School, and St. Francis DeSales High School daily via Bus #3.  When routes were created for this school year, these three out-of-district schools were grouped together based upon the number of students eligible for transportation services, routing efficiency based upon direction traveled, and the number of bus drivers available. They are asking for your input on changing the current options. Please follow the link below to provide your feedback.

TEDx: Accepting Nominations

In partnership with students from TEDxOhioStateUniversity, TEDxColumbus has decided to open up an additional session in the evening of  November 4 from  7-9pm to showcase the ingenuity and diversity of Columbus' Youth. The session will follow the main conferences' theme, Risk, and will feature exclusively High School speakers!

The cost of this session will be underwritten with proceeds from TEDxColumbus' main event (the earlier session) and make it open and free to anyone that wants to attend.

Nominations are due  September 16th, speakers are chosen by  September 19th and coaching begins shortly thereafter. We ask for 100 words of what your idea is and a 90 second video (quality DOES NOT MATTER, only content matters!) posted to our dropbox. All of these instructions and more can be found here.

We hope this session proves to be overwhelmingly popular both with nominations and attendees. We know from our previous TEDxColumbusYouth events that high schoolers have lots of ideas worthy of sharing on the main stage.

Daily Reflection

Just as it is an impious effrontery to attribute to our own will the holy works which the Spirit inspires us to perform, so it is brazen-faced impiety to want to attribute our lack of cooperation to a failure of grace or of heavenly aid. The Holy Spirit proclaims everywhere that we bring about our own perdition. He desires nothing more intensely than that we allow that fire to be enkindled in our heart which the Savior brought down to this world. The sacred text also tells us clearly that God does not want anyone to be lost, but wills that all should be saved. [cf. 1 Tm 2:4] Our Savior came into this world that all may become His adopted brothers and sisters. (T.L.G. Book 4, Ch. 5; O. IV, p. 228)
