2016 Candidate Forum
 

KWLM , the Willmar Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce, and the League of Women Voters will present a special LIVE CANDIDATES FORUM at the Kandiyohi County Fair.  Friday, August 12 form 10:00 AM - Noon , JP Cola will host discussions with our candidates for State Representative (of Districts 17A & B), the State Senate, and Kandiyohi County Commissioner. 
 
Also, if you would like to submit questions for consideration, do that in advance by  CLICKING HERE. It will also be  STREAMED LIVE live on 1340AM or 96.3FM, KWLM.

Four WLACC Board Nominations Open

The Willmar Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce is soliciting nominations for the Board of Directors. Board terms are three years in length. Members in good standing are eligible to be nominated and qualify for election. Nominations may be forwarded to: Nominating Committee, Willmar Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce, 2104 Highway 12 East, Willmar, MN 56201, or emailed to kwarner@willmarareachamber.com. Submissions accepted until Friday August 12th.
Willmar's Destination Playground Design Day August 16th

Kids Kindergarten - 5th Grade are invited to join professional playground designers from 10-11 am on Tuesday, August 16th at Roosevelt Elementary to contribute their creative ideas and drawings to the plan for the new playground. The designers will take these ideas and make a preliminary drawing of the playground that will be unveiled at 6pm at Rockin' Robbins. Register your child to help participate! Volunteers are needed to assist in a wide variety of areas. There is something fun for everyone. Join the volunteer team today!

Chamber Connection Chamber Connections - Come Make A Morning Connection

Join us this Friday, August 12th as Bethesda Club Suites -New Transitional Therapy and Wellness addition hosts us from 7:30 - 8:30 am (901 SE Willmar Ave - the program will be located at the far East side of the campus). Join us for coffee and a light breakfast for only $1 and your business card.  Share your business news or information on an upcoming event as you start your Friday with fellow Chamber Members.

Join us on Friday, August 19th, join us for our 4 person scramble out at the Eagle Creek Golf Course. Registration is at 3:00 with the shotgun start at 3:15 and happy hour at The Oaks to follow. All experience levels are welcomed and encouraged to come! The fee is $30 for non-course members, payable to Eagle Creek ($10 for course members)

West Central Ducks Unlimited | August 24th
