All FBISD families that request Free and Reduced School Meal services must complete a new application.
Applications must be submitted and approved by October 6 to avoid lapse in benefits

The 2016-17 school year has officially begun with Fort Bend ISD welcoming nearly 74,000 students back to school after a restful summer vacation. Superintendent of Schools Dr. Charles Dupre and members of his executive team joined principals and school staff in greeting students and their families as they arrived to school. With lunches, backpacks and jackets in hand, students returned anticipating an eventful first day of school.

High school juniors and seniors are invited to participate in the George Foundation's Youth In Philanthropy (YIP) program. The program is open to current juniors and seniors attending Fort Bend County high schools, who want to learn more about their community. Online applications for the 2016-17 YIP Program will be available until Friday, September 23.

This summer, thirty-one Fort Bend ISD students, in grades 4-8 last school year, were among the 1,444 outstanding students to participate in Education in Action's Summer 2016 Lone Star Leadership Academy camps.
They were selected for the camps based on demonstrated academic success and leadership ability, educator recommendations, and involvement in school/community activities.

The Willowridge Wall of Honor, Inc. will celebrate its 10-year anniversary with a dinner and dance on Saturday, September 17 at 7:00 p.m. at The Power Center (12401 South Post Oak Road, Houston 77045). The event will honor outstanding individuals who will be inducted into the Wall of Honor, as well as recognize the 1994 WHS State Championship Basketball Team and coaches.

All Fort Bend ISD schools and offices will be closed on
Monday, September 5 for the Labor Day Holiday, and on
Friday, September 23 for Fort Bend County Fair Day.
