Donald Trump is behind in every poll. Even in red states like Texas, the difference in percentage points is in the single digits. Fellow Democrats, the presidential race is ours to win ... and it's ours to lose.
There remains just over 10 weeks before the November 8th election. In fact, early voting is only one month away. As always, unforeseen events can effect the outcome. However, the factor most likely to effect the outcome is us. Are we going to sit back and take a Democratic win for granted? Are we going to assume that someone else will do all the work to guarantee a Democratic win? --- or, are we going to do our part to ensure that Hillary Clinton is the next president of the United States?
We need every man, woman and child on board. If you believe that every American is entitled to the rights guaranteed by the United States Constitution, we need you on board. If you believe that pay equity should be applied to all workers, we need you on board. If you believe that our economy should be based on fair wages and proportionate tax cuts (not just for the top 1%), we need you on board. But it's not enough for everyone to be on board. We need everyone to help row!
Thankfully, Democratic politics is a team sport. For this reason, you can pick the position you want. Through the Coordinated Campaign of the Dallas County Democratic Party (DCDP), Democrats can campaign for Democrats, up and down the ticket, starting with Hillary Clinton and every position down ballot. Campaigning is customized, so you can pick a method that works for you. There is something for everyone! You can knock on doors, make phone calls, assist in the DCDP office, and/or make a donation to the DCDP so we can continue all of the above.
In the past month, volunteers with the Coordinated Campaign have contacted 10,000 voters. That's a lot, but it's not enough. Our goal is to contact no less than 75,000 voters before Election Day. To accomplish this goal, we need your help. We are knocking on doors every Saturday. We are making phone calls at least twice each week. We are taking donations every day.
