The Rev. Nellie Greene was an ordained Episcopalian and a graduate of Hampshire College and Yale Divinity School with an interim year of post-graduate study at the University of Illinois in Champaign/Urbana.
She was ordained as an Episcopal deacon in 1993 and served at Chestnut Hill United Methodist.
Please keep Nellie's mother, Cookie and all of her family and friends in your prayers.
May Nellie's soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace in the glorious company of the saints in light.
Almighty God, we remember before you today your faithful servant Nellie; and we pray that, having opened to her the gates of larger life, you will receive her more and more into your joyful service, that, with all who have faithfully served you in the past, she may share in the eternal victory of Jesus Christ our Lord; who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.
