Greetings!

Join us this Friday night, August 26, at 8 p.m. for Basic Astronomy , a program about stargazing and telescopes .  The weather forecast is for clear skies, so arrive early at 6:30 p.m. to see the Conjunction of Venus & Jupiter. A conjunction is when two or more celestial bodies appear to be next to each other in the sky. You will be able to view these two planets through Kopernik's telescopes as they get close together.

If it is clear on Saturday and Sunday, Kopernik will be open for viewing of the conjunction and casual observing into the evening. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.

Watch for an email announcing Kopernik's Fall Public Program schedule packed with exciting speakers and events for the whole family. Some of the topics this fall include black holes and gravity waves, geology of Mars, and effects of storm-water. Events include AstroFest and a film festival!

We hope to see you soon!
