Passionate about

what I do

Greetings!

In our world today things are so much more transparent than they were 20 years ago.  People taking pictures and videos of you with their cellphones when you may not even know it; video cameras in every parking lot of every store where you shop and even computer hacking that is becoming much more prevalent, not allowing you to protect even the most private of documents. So where will it end?  I wish I had the answer to that.

While surveillance has helped us to catch those not behaving properly such as bank robbers, the individuals who participated in the most recent Boston bombing and those who choose to steal from honest store owners, it has become a huge invasion of privacy.

Read below about how confidentiality in my office is a safe place to go when you are feeling "watched" too much.

Enjoy the information below and as always, please pass it on to anyone you believe may benefit from its content.

Be sure to watch for the next monthly newsletter coming out in June which will be the 2nd part of Six Dimensions of Wellness.

Sincerely,

From The Positive Perspective.......

One place where you can be assured of your privacy is in my counseling office.  Our conversations remain confidential with only a few exceptions, which I make very clear in our first session.  Once that is discussed, you are free to speak your mind and release the anger and frustration safely that prevents you from being your best without being judged in any way.  You are encouraged to discuss family, friends or coworkers who don't understand you and we can work together to help you find your strengths so you can make life be the way you want it to be.

I take confidentiality very seriously both from an ethical standpoint as well as a legal one.  I am asked, as a mental health professional, to uphold the highest of standards and I work diligently to be sure I maintain that standard on a daily basis. If you choose to seek counseling, whether through me or another mental health professional, be sure to ask them about their ethical guidelines.  You have a right to know their point of view.

So if you are feeling "watched" too much in your life and need a place to discuss things confidentially, give me a call and let's get you feeling good about life again. Let's take a look together at confidentiality From The Positive Perspective........

Stay well .......
