Three Ways People with Disabilities can Prepare for the 2016 Presidential Elections
Sponsored by Disability Rights Maryland (DRM)
formally Maryland Disability Law Center

Did you know that in the 2012 Presidential election, 72% of polling places were not accessible and 57.2% of people with disabilities did not vote?

To support greater voter participation among people with disabilities in this year's election, DRM has provided 3 ways to prepare:

1) Attend a free Voter Forum to:
  • Learn what the Democratic and Republican Parties say about issues affecting people with disabilities
  • Test the ballot marking machines
  • Get informed and energized!
Forums are scheduled in Salisbury, MD September 28 and in Baltimore on October 6. Find more information about the Voter Forums and locations in this Voter Forum Flyer

2) D ownload and share this Maryland REV UP Campaign Toolkit. The toolkit has a wealth of resources & information including:
  • Voting Rights
  • A Basic Guide to Polling Place Accessibility
  • Voter Registration Information
  • Voting Deadlines to Remember
  • A Polling Place Survey
3) Schedule a  voter registration and training presentation  with Disability Rights Maryland (DRM) by contacting:

Tracy Wright, DRM Voting Advocate, at
443-690-2603  or  [email protected]

Call the Disability Rights Maryland Voter Hotline  to  report any
voting concern at 443-692-2492 or email at [email protected]

Thanks for helping to get out the vote.
See you at the polls on November 8!
