Join us this Labor Day Weekend for the
2nd Annual Highlands Nature Festival,
featuring three days of inspiration, discovery and celebration. Throughout the festival,naturalists and
partner organizations
will lead
interactive hands-on field trips and workshops
, exploring many areas of our natural surroundings. In addition, a
special Keynote Address,features internationally known outdoor survival instructor Cody Lundin.
Please take a minute and check out the variety of hikes and experiences offered, and don't forget the Nature Festival Open House on Saturday, September 3.

- Go behind the scenes at the Heritage Park Zoological Society;
- Take an inspirational workshop with a special guest live raptor with Neil Rizos international artist and birder,
- Explore a variety of habitats at one the most beautiful and ecologically diverse sites in the Prescott region with Carl Tomoff, Ph.D. Professor of Environmental Studies
- Learn about wildlife and nature photography with the Audobon Society.

Saturday Festival Open House
1-5pm,
Highlands Center, Free
Following our innovative field trips on Saturday, join all the collaborating organizations for an interactive Open House event at the Highlands Center from 1-5pm. Food and beverages will be served along with feature showings of Viva La Verde!, presented by the Sierra Club- an exceptional story that tells at the history, ecology, geology, and hydrology of the Verde River.
