GET FIT FOR SPORT
We are very excited to announce the Get Fit For Sport Challenge! The Challenge is simple....GET MOVING! Aim to exercise three times a week for at least 30 minutes.
Our goal is to have 500 people complete the challenge. To be the best that you can be, you need to be fit! Can we count you in for the challenge?
We have lots of ideas for how you can get moving and get your heart rate up. How about going for a walk, playing a sport, running, dancing, jumping rope, lifting weights or doing some circuit training? We are also providing weekly nutrition tips that will help incorporate healthy eating into your lifestyle.
The Challenge begins on August 29th, so don't delay in signing up! This session of Get Fit For Sport will culminate at the Rail Trail Rally on Saturday, October 1st at Proctor Academy in Andover.
All participants will receive a water bottle, and while supplies last a pair of sneakers. If you take part in the Rail Trail Rally you will also receive a t-shirt. At the Rally, a Law Enforcement Torch Run Event, you can participate in any one of the activities which include a 5k Run, 20 mile Bike Ride or a 1.5 mile Walk/Run.
Share your successes and struggles with via Facebook or Twitter using hashtag #SONHGetsFit!
If it doesn't challenge you, it doesn't change you!
