New Ways to Give to RML
Did you know there are ways to support Radnor Memorial Library by doing what you already do?
Consider supporting the library by participating in one of these programs.

Give back by shopping at AmazonSmile
AmazonSmile is a simple and automatic way for you to support Radnor Memorial Library every time you shop, at no cost to you. When you shop at smile.amazon.com, you’ll find the exact same low prices, vast selection and convenient shopping experience as Amazon.com, with the added bonus that Amazon will donate a portion of the purchase price to the library.

On your first visit to AmazonSmile (smile.amazon.com), select Radnor Memorial Library to receive donations from eligible purchases before you begin shopping. Amazon will remember your selection, and then every eligible purchase you make at smile.amazon.com will result in a donation.

Would you rather give to charity than receive a gift for a birthday?  Do you have a philanthropic
kid who loves the library?

If you use Evite to create a free invitation to an event, you can now add charitable donation functionality for guests through Pledging. This provides event guests with a simple method to show their support by sending their tax-deductible donations online in a few simple clicks. Guests receive an email receipt for their transaction and the option to create a free Pledging account to keep track of year-long charitable giving.

Meet the Staff

Andrea Elson, Children's Services Librarian
What is your role at RML?
I have been a youth services librarian at Radnor Library for the past four years. I run storytimes and programs for ages 3 months to teens and order books for the picture book, juvenile readers and nonfiction and young adult collections. I also make book and seasonal displays in the children’s and teen areas.
In our Recollection site, many of our programs are off-site, so in a typical day of our summer reading club, I may do a storytime at Chanticleer Garden, a visit to the Radnor Day Camp Tot Lot and an evening show with a juggler or traveling zoo.

What is your favorite thing about working at RML?
I love getting to interact with families and kids whether it’s talking specifically about books, sharing songs and rhymes, or creating projects with teens.

What are you most excited about in the library renovation?
I am looking forward to having programming space for all different age groups and types of programs. We will have a great teen area to hang out and schedule after school programs as well as a revamped storytime room. It will also be great to have an elevator to help bring program supplies down to the Winsor Room!

What is your favorite book?
My favorite book is Live from New York which is a history of Saturday Night Live told through interviews of cast members, writers and producers.

What was your dream job when you were growing up?
When I was younger I wanted to be the stunt woman that plays Tinker Bell at Walt Disney World and ziplines from the top of Cinderella's castle.
