Teachers Turned Students
Chester Metropolitan District and IBHS were two Chester County Chamber members that hosted teachers for the summer--turning educators back into students! Teachers worked in various roles in businesses across Chester, York and Lancaster counties, gaining valuable experiences in the very fields these educators teach. There is a strong push in South Carolina to produce graduates who have the soft skills and technical skills to be successful team members in modern businesses. Having teachers work directly with employers builds understanding and improves the classroom to work transition. For more information on having your business participate in this important partnership, please contact
