95 Percent of Entrepreneurs Self-Fund Their Startups
The global financial crisis has left a lingering mark on entrepreneurship across the globe, with 95 percent of entrepreneurs relying on their own funding for startup ventures, and only 0.16 percent of U.S. small businesses receiving venture capital in 2015. Faculty Survey Finds Awareness of Open Educational Resources Low but Improving
Awareness of open educational resources (OER) among U.S. higher education teaching faculty has improved but still remains known to less than a majority, according to a new report from the Babson Survey Research Group. Survey results, using responses of more than 3,000 faculty, show that OER status is not a driving force in the selection of educational materials--with the most cited barrier being the effort required to find and evaluate such materials.
