Coastal Alabama Regional Tourism Workshop

The North Baldwin Chamber of Commerce is constantly working to make sure our tourism industry is well supported and well represented in the Coastal Alabama Region. One way of doing that is through our work with the Coastal Alabama Partnership's Regional Tourism Council. Through that partnership, we work with seven other tourism organization to promote all of Mobile and Baldwin County! We are proud to offer YOU a chance to join us for the Coastal Alabama Regional Tourism Workshop.

During this workshop, regional tourism leaders will discuss strategic planning, regional tourism promotion and how we can work together to grow our industry for the ENTIRE REGION!

The workshop costs $10 to attend and lunch will be provided. We want to hear from YOU while planning for the future of tourism in Coastal Alabama.

Please join  U.S. Representative Bradley Byrne  for a town hall meeting in Stockton on Monday, August 22nd from 12-1pm at Stagecoach Cafe to discuss the House Republicans Better Way agenda, as well as your ideas and concerns. Congressman Byrne's town hall meetings give you a chance to ask questions or share your concerns directly with your voice in Congress. The town hall is free and open to the public.

On  Wed., Aug. 24  a  FREE  disaster preparedness webinar for businesses in Alabama will be offered by the IRS, Operation Hope and SBA.  
 
The webinar will provide an opportunity to receive tips and exchange ideas to help better prepare for disasters and to minimize or reduce the disaster's adverse impact on your business.

3rd Annual Dash & Splash - 5k, Fun Run and POOL PARTY!!!!
Friday, September 9th, 6pm


The Firefighters and Volunteers of the Bay Minette Fire Department (BMFD) will be hosting their 3rd  Annual Dash & Splash 5k, Fun Run & Pool Party on Friday, September 9th, 2016. The 5k will begin at 6pm, followed by a one mile Fun Run at 7pm and will close with music, food and a pool party at the Bay Minette Municipal Pool Complex.
 
Proceeds from the Annual Dash & Splash will benefit the Bay Minette Fire Department and their Fire Prevention Programs. Over the past year the BMFD has given away and installed over 200 smoke detectors in homes in our community. In addition to the smoke detector giveaway program, the Bay Minette Firefighters see between 1,700-2,000 school age children each year teaching them about fire safety and leaving them with learning tools such as activity books, helmets and more to take home with them to ensure a lasting impression about fire prevention.
 
In addition to fire prevention education the BMFD offers CPR certification, car seat installation and fire extinguisher training among other services.
