September 2016 Field Trip-Modernization of I-75 through Downtown Dayton

Speaker: Scott LeBlanc, Area Engineer ODOT

The project reconstructed I-75 between Fifth St. and Riverview Ave and replaced the various left-sided and right-side ramps with a single, centrally-located interchange for downtown Dayton. Project started in 2012 and will be completed a year early, September 2016.  Highlight the specific challenges and successes of the final phase of the I-75 Modernization Project through downtown Dayton. Project included a No Excuses incentive of $3 million for 1 year early completion. Included a VECP of 9 structures that affected 60% of the contract value.

While eating lunch, Scott LeBlanc will give a presentation about the project including the sucesses and challenges, and then we will head to the field to visit the site and see the project completed up close.
