PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
WE ARE LEADING OFFSITE EMERGENCY ROOM DESIGN
My colleagues and I have noticed that the offsite emergency department movement is gaining traction lately. This is due in part to consumer demand for quality healthcare close to home, and a desire for shorter wait times than hospitals. Architecture firms like ours can be active partners in their development and design, from site selection and master planning to an emphasis on customer-centric design.

I am excited to be sharing HuntonBrady Architects' experience with offsite EDs at the Healthcare Design 2016 Conference  in Houston this November. We are one of the nation's leading offsite ED design firms with projects completed in Castle Rock, Colorado and Lake Mary, Florida, with more in the works including Orlando Health's Horizon West,  Florida Hospital North Pinellas and Waterford Lakes Emergency Department.

The photo above of our project for Florida Hospital Lake Mary Emergency Department shows how design can improve the waiting area and infuse natural light and modern materials into healthcare environments that were previously intimidating.   We know evidence based healthcare design positively impacts clinical outcomes such as patient & staff satisfaction. Great architecture makes a difference.
