New Health & Safety Training Requirements

For Certified Child Care Centers & Family Child Care Homes: 

Beginning  9/30/16 all new caregivers and substitutes in Certified Child Care Centersand Certified Family Child Care Homes must complete the free online "Introduction to Child Care Health and Safety" training  within 30 days. Staff members will receive two hours of training credit for completing the course in addition to the two hours they already receive for orientation. This training is only required to be taken once and is available online with no fee beginning  September 30, 2016.

All current caregivers and substitutes employed in a Certified Child Care Center or Certified Family Child Care Home must complete the online "Introduction to Child Care Health and Safety" training by 6/30/17.

Monmouth Montessori will be providing a "glass classroom" in the West Galleria of the Oregon Capitol on March 3rd, 2017.   Governor Kate Brown has signed a Proclamation declaring this Oregon Montessori Education Day, in conjunction with National Montessori Week.
