Dear RWF Friends,

We hope you can join us for three upcoming events that promote peace and celebrate the bond we share with our LGBTQ family around the world.

UPCOMING EVENTS

August 14: Origami Palooza  Join RWF at San Francisco's Japan Center Mall from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. where we will be teaching origami and folding the classic crane model for this year's RWF World Tree of Hope. Origami-Palooza will feature origami exhibits, challenges, and opportunities to win prizes.
This event is free and open to everyone!

Our diverse team of folders includes inmates from San Quentin Prison.

The RWF World Tree of Hope is our annual global holiday project promoting peace, love and humanitarianism. The 23 foot Holiday Tree is decorated with thousands of origami cranes and stars that are inscribed with people's wishes and hopes for the future of the world. Wishes are sent in from around the world by mail and online.

The wishes are printed and folded into origami cranes by a diverse team of origami enthusiasts.

The Tree will be on display in the Rotunda of San Francisco City Hall November 21 to January 3. The Tree reflects our philosophy of building bridges and sharing the message that we are all one human family.

We are seeking volunteers to help prepare the origami for the tree and to decorate the tree. If you are interested in helping please complete this contact form.
