Networking Events: Getting the Most Bang for Your Time and Effort

Networking events are a great way to increase your business connections. I try to leave each networking event with at least 5-10 new connections that I didn't have before I came. Attending an event with 60-300 business people can be overwhelming. Here are some tips to navigate a networking event so you walk away with new connections to help you grow your resources.
Anna Monnett is the chief nurse executive at the Dayton VA Medical Center. She earned both her BSN and MS at Wright State University, and she has been nationally certified in gerontology and as a nurse executive.
She serves on the National Nurse Executive Council, National Simulation Learning Steering Committee, the Regional Strategic Planning Council and as chair of the Regional Nurse Professional Standards Board.
