In general you are required to have 36 CEUs every 3 years (this does differ in some cases so you can look at the requirements at source 1 below). On your recertification application (source 3 below) it will ask you to check off a box saying you have completed the required number of CEUs. They will not ask you for certificates or transcripts at the time of your application. HOWEVER, NEW YORK STATE MAY AUDIT YOU AT ANY TIME, and ask for proof of your CEUs in the form of certificates or a transcript after you have submitted your application -- as we recently have been seeing occur more often.

At the end of each continuing education class you have taken at Swedish Institute, you will receive a certificate of completion with your name, course name, date & number of CEUs. Please keep these as proof of your course completion, and also so you can keep track of how many CEUs you have completed.

If you are audited and you have misplaced your certificates we can print you new copies at $10 each, OR you can request a CE transcript which will include information for all of the classes you have taken at Swedish CE ($10 for the entire transcript).
