So You Think Your Child Is Delayed...


Parents worry about a lot of things - if their child started talking early enough, started walking early enough, is getting along appropriately with other children, is able to color within the lines, is eating enough food, and so on. 

In our latest blog post, speech therapist Jessie Nelson Willis provides excellent - if not totally conclusive - advice about what to do if you suspect your child has a developmental delay.

Kid's Creek is thrilled to welcome two new additions to the Kid's Creek family!

Claire Whatley  is one of two new occupational therapists. Claire received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with an emphasis on Developmental Psychology from The University of California, Santa Cruz. She received her Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from Brenau University. She is certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) and is certified in Therapeutic Listening and Interactive Metronome. Claire's specialties include: sensory processing, Down syndrome, and severe profound populations. 
 
Rachel Wesson is also an occupational therapist. She received her bachelor's degree in Psychology and Anthropology from The University of Georgia and a master's degree in Occupational Therapy from Colorado State University.She is certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). Rachel comes to us from The Children's Hospital in Aurora, CO where she specialized in sensory processing, behavioral difficulties, leading groups and working with children who were in intensive psychiatric services. 
The Creek Club Is Starting Up Again!
Kid's Creek Therapy is proud to offer  The Creek Club, an exceptional social skills program where students have fun developing the social competencies necessary for successful social interactions.  Groups meet for an hour once a week for eight weeks. The program is progress monitored, so you can see results and long-term improvement.
