The Serving Communities Internship Program (SCiP) is now accepting applications for internships to be completed between August 1, 2016 and July 31, 2017.

Nonprofit organizations are eligible to post meaningful, skill-based opportunities for post-secondary students. The student's compensation is covered by a $1000 bursary from the Alberta government. The SCiP program has launched a new website which will streamline the process for submitting documents and help organizations track their progress.

The Geographies of Aging Projects Lab (GAPLab) at Queen's University has launched an interactive atlas based on the 2011 Census containing information about the older population and geographic patterns across communities, provinces/territories and all of Canada. Members of the public, researchers, undergraduate and graduate students are invited to use the Atlas of the Aging Population of Canada.
