GSSCC Members Generously Step Forward to Help Fire Survivors

GSSCC was saddened last week to learn of the tragic explosion and fire that destroyed a Long Branch apartment building and devastated so many lives. We have been heartened by the generosity and leadership of countless GSSCC members - both our nonprofit organizations and our businesses - who have stepped up to help. Thanks especially to Montgomery Housing Partnership (MHP), A Wider Circle, the YMCA Silver Spring, the Sheraton Silver Spring, All Set Restaurant, The Fillmore Silver Spring, and countless others who have helped quietly. The need is still great, especially for financial support to help the survivors somehow put their lives back together. Members can help by making donations through MHP by clicking here. Or, take your colleagues out today for lunch or dinner at All Set Restaurant (8630 Fenton St.), as the restaurant donates 100% of lunch and dinner sales to the MHP for the cause. Click here for details.
If your business is planning efforts to assist those in need, please email GSSCC and we'll highlight them on our Facebook page.
