 Jean Van de Velde
To Play The Boeing Classic
Jean Van de Velde is coming to Seattle! The Frenchman has committed to the Boeing Classic at TPC Snoqualmie, where he will be competing on a sponsor's exemption. Van de Velde's 1999 Open Championship collapse on the 72nd hole at Carnoustie Golf Links put him in golf's history books forever, as an infamous triple-bogey at the closing hole left him in a playoff with Paul Lawrie and Justin Leonard, which Lawrie won for his only major championship title.

Van de Velde, who turned 50 on May 29,  made his PGA TOUR Champions debut at last month's DICK'S Sporting Goods Open, and followed that up with appearances in the Senior Open Championship and 3M Championship.

"You feel like you kind of miss the adrenaline of competing, and I have to say that's not something that goes away that easily," said Van de Velde.

We look forward to seeing Jean during Tournament week.
2016 Flyover
The Boeing Classic has the most unique start of any PGA TOUR Champions events with a Boeing jet flyover to kick off  the Tournament.

On Friday, August 26th a Korean Air 747-8 will fly up the 18th Fairway at TPC Snoqualmie Ridge at 11:20 am just before the 11:30 first tee time to open the 12th Annual Boeing Classic. Plan on arriving early to ensure a good spot to see the incredible plane in flight.
