Investiture of Dr. Greg Schulz as President of Fullerton College
The Investiture of Dr. Greg Schulz as President of Fullerton College took place on Friday, August 19, 2016. Dr. Schulz began serving as the college's interim president in July 2015. He previously served as provost of the School of Continuing Education in the North Orange County Community College District, and dean of trades, industrial and career technologies at Long Beach City College. Schulz earned his doctorate degree in education from the University of Southern California, his master's degree in public administration from California State University, Long Beach, his bachelor's degree in business administration/accounting from California State University, Fullerton and his associate's degree in business administration from Fullerton College.
Fall Information Booths
Students won't need to feel lost on campus during the first week of classes; information booths will be available at three locations on campus starting August 22 and will remain open throughout the week. The booths offer information about campus resources and help new students navigate the college during the busiest week of the semester.

New Students Prepare for Fall Semester at Smart Start Saturday
Fullerton College welcomed more than 700 new students and their families to campus on August 13 for the 8th annual Smart Start Saturday. The campus-wide event, which is sponsored by the Office of the Vice President of Student Services, is designed to help new students prepare for the fall semester, and provide information on programs and services available at FC.

Fullerton College Foundation Hosts Sunset Mixer
Fullerton College was buzzing with business professionals and community members on August 10 for a Sunset Mixer, co-hosted by the Fullerton College Foundation and the North Orange County Chamber of Commerce. The event, which featured appetizers and plenty of networking, also gave Fullerton College the opportunity to showcase FC's Business and Computer Information Systems Division.

Accreditation Feedback Forums
Join the 2017 Accreditation team for a series of feedback forums regarding the draft of the 2017 Accreditation report. Faculty and staff input is important and encouraged during the Accreditation process. The forums are scheduled for Wednesday, October 12 from 4 to 6 p.m., Thursday, October 13 from 2 to 4 p.m. and Friday, October 14 from 10 a.m. to noon. All forums are in rooms 224-228.

The FC Art Department is proud to introduce the Biennial Faculty Exhibition. Instructor talent is made all too clear inside these four walls; they not only work in a variety of styles and media, but they also constantly seek new voices and new possibilities. Join the department in the opening reception on Thursday, September 1 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the FC Art Gallery.

Football
The Hornets will hit the road for a scrimmage at Pasadena City College this Saturday, August 27 at 3:30 p.m. Fullerton College will open its 100th season of football at Santa Ana College on Saturday, September 3 at 6 p.m. Go Hornets!
Men's Soccer
The Hornets will open the season under new head coach Greg Aviles this Friday, August 26 at home against Glendale College at 3 p.m. Come on out and support your Hornets!
Women's Soccer
The Lady Hornets will warm up this Friday, August 26 when they travel to Mt. San Antonio College for a scrimmage at 5 p.m. FC's season opener will be at home against Palomar on Friday, September 2 at 2 p.m.
Women's Volleyball
FC will play in a scrimmage tournament at Cerritos College this Friday, August 26. Their season will begin on August 31 at the Cerritos College 3-Way.
