August 25 Webinar:
The Business Perspective
On COP21 and the Carbon Economy
Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 11:00am PT / 2:00pm ET
The December 2015 Paris Climate Agreement - COP21 -
represents a watershed in addressing climate change. Over 190 nations, supported by hundreds of citizen business and local
Richard Eidlin_ American Sustainable Business Council
governments, came together to craft an agreement that fundamentally recognizes the economic, social and environmental challenges posed by climate change.

ISSP's August webinar, featuring Richard Eidlin of the American Sustainable Business Council and Michael Green of the Climate Action Business Association,
Michael Green, Climate Action Business Association
will review the key elements of the agreement, issues still to be resolved, and the critical role that the business community played in its design and implementation. We'll also focus on what the agreement means to American companies, including those in the sustainable agricultural community. Finally, we'll look at the emerging support here in the US - both in Congress and in state legislatures - for the idea of putting a price on carbon and how that might work.

Reconnect with Your Passion for Sustainability at September Workshop
We are people of passion. We choose sustainability work because it is an extension of our hearts as well as our minds. We focus on skillsets that further our causes and bring them to the attention of others. We engage in action, conversation, collaboration, number crunching, travel, presentations, and meeting after meeting because if we don't, who will?

Along the way it's easy to neglect our own necessary connections with the very things that sparked the passion for us in the first place. Maintaining those connections is integral for the long-term success of us as individuals in our jobs and our lives, and of the good work we do each day.

This September 25-29, reconnect and learn in Grand Lake, CO at Beyond Sustainability: A Workshop for Professionals, which has been co-produced in partnership with The Colorado Chapter of ISSP. A world-class faculty from ISSP, Shadowcliff, and more will guide you both indoors and outdoors on an experience for the heart and the mind. Four days and four nights of all-inclusive programming, lodging, meals, and activities starts at $425 per person. Local's tuition is just $225. Learn more here.
