This is a movement now! You know what that means? It means the Soulful Chicago Book Fair mission to bolster literacy in our communities won't stop! Our first Little Free Library stands on the corner of 61st and Cottage Grove, in front of Metro Squash. You can drop off books for children or adults and you can take a book to read if you like. Some of the students you see here have even redesigned and painted our library with the Soulful Chicago Book Fair logo! Some of the Soulful Chicago Pioneer Authors you see here donated copies of their books to the library and they went like hotcakes! One day we caught some little girls dropping off books and picking up new books with their mom. Go check it out when you are in the neighborhood. And if the lil house is full, you can leave the extra books at Metro Squash. See Mary Sillah for that. Now we have to figure out where our next one will go!
